Special Containment Procedures: SCP-XXXX is being suspended from a robotic appendage. A drop of amiodarone (See addendum XXXX-05 for additional documentation on the drug)is to be autonomously administered every hour to prevent the overstimulation of SCP-XXXX. The amiodarone is replaced every 5 weeks.

SCP-XXXX is currently being cryogenically frozen to avoid the risk of a T2 class explosion. The containment of SCP-XXXX is a collaboration of the SCP Foundation and the NSA. The current location of SCP-XXXX is in a reinforced anomalous objects vault with 55 mm walls. Access to the vault will require the written consent of,

Description: SCP-XXXX is an unstable microscopic optical tesseract that was inserted into the optic nerve section of an eye belonging to Robert Jacobs (Hereby designated as SCP-XXXX-1). The tesseract is made out of glass fibers and is a 4^th- dimensional object that exists in the 3^rd- dimensional plane. The tesseract can greatly enhance vision. The effects of the constant shifting from the tesseract cause the pupil to rapidly change colors unless treated with amiodarone. If not treated, it would result in a T2 class explosion. This project was developed by the NSA during the Cold war between 1949 to 1958. It was going to be used to protect certain POIs. It was meant to replace large sniper rifles with more compact firearms (such as glocks). The implanted tesseract is capable of enhancing vision up to 200% to pertain sniper rifle scope accuracy. Only one was produced due to the extreme unpredictability of the tesseract and that the process was long and tedious. An email was sent from the NSA joint Project Director, Patrick Douglas regarding some of the developments pre-dating SCP-XXXX's containment. (see addendum XXXX-02)

SCP-XXXX constantly shifts making it vary in heights, width. This shifting also affects the color of SCP-XXXX-1's pupils. The tesseract's instability is the singular thing allowing it to exist. The fiberglass allows the tesseract the be flexible and vision amplifying. The developers and the creators of SCP-XXXX are shrouded in mystery and nothing is currently known about them.

Discovery: SCP-XXXX was found in Washington, DC. SCP-XXXX was found Implanted into Robert Jacobs while he was on guard at the US Capitol in 20██ long after the creation of SCP-XXXX. Many reports of a "man with an eye that changes colors fast" were detected and MTF-Alpha-5 ("Honour guards") were dispatched to locate Robert Jacobs. An interview was conducted to further explain SCP-XXXX's abilities (see addendum XXXX-03). Later, a surgery was performed to abstract SCP-XXXX and replace it with a glass eye. Class C amnestics were given to Robert Jacobs and he was returned to his post. The NSA had discovered that the Foundation had captured SCP-XXXX and willingly cooperated to effectively contain SCP-XXXX.

Since we are researching the tesseract, I thought that I should brief you on some details that I had found.

• Robert Jacobs was used as a first initial field test for the tesseract
• The ones who implanted the tesseract in Robert wanted an ex-veteran ( Robert served in the latter years of WWII)
• The NSA knowingly put Robert in a US Capitol post
• Shortly after we took the tesseract, he died because he was too used to the tesseract being there
• Regarding the earlier years of the tesseract development, they were going to use multiple tesseracts to protect government officials

Dr.Colbern: What are you doing?

SCP-XXXX-1:Well, you know that- thing in my eye? I have to take this every hour. Relax. (SCP-XXXX-1 put a drop in his eye)

Dr.Colbern: When did you get it put in?

SCP-XXXX-1:Ehhhhh… somewhere around…. 198█ I think?

Dr.Colbern: Is there any way this affected your life?

SCP-XXXX-1: Well, It was kinda lonely. They wanted me to stay away from people just in case I forget my drops. Also, the uh.. tesseract hurts. I've been struggling with this thing for about 20 years.

Dr.Colbern: Thanks. Do you know at all why they did pick you? Are there certain criteria?

SCP-XXXX-1: Well, I think they said that they wanted an ex-vet.

Dr.Colbern: Ok. (looks at the dropper sitting on the table) We are going to need to confiscate that. You know, since we're removing the tesseract and all.

SCP-XXXX-1: Ummm.. ok. (hands Dr.Colbern the dropper)

I was in the containment chamber after work hours when SCP-XXXX's pupil started rapidly changing colors and rapidly dilating. I was waiting for the machine's eyedropper to kick in, but it never did. I panicked and fumbled around for a backup eyedropper and eventually, I did find one. I put a drop in and the dilation and color-changing slowed to a halt. Honestly, I was frightened for my life and it was a pure adrenaline feeding moment. This mode of containment is clearly insufficient and needs to be abolished. The dropper in the arm was fully depleted and putting the drop in every hour is a waste of foundation time.
I am putting in an O5 request for a change in containment.

This medication is administered regularly to treat different types of irregular heartbeats. The NSA has modified the makeup of this drug to regulate the rapid shifting of the tesseract. The normal injection of amiodarone has been changed to a dropper to have the process be more efficient.

Modification :

The compound thyroxine ( which is a hormone that secretes into the bloodstream) has been replaced with myelin which has been found to be more suitable for the optic nerve.
