Efelan Öriyul (the Book of Praises, or just called Öriyul) is the first sub-book of the Geran Neŋašaž (Knowledge of the Bless-Deity) Series. The Efelan Öriyul has 20 chapters, and all of them are hymns sung during a Šüŋo.

Efelan Öriyul

The Efelan Öriyul is estimated to have been recorded in the 15 Nyŏnan Neŋa, or the 15th Year of Blessing according to the Sky-Dweller Calender.¹ The calendar has 10 months with 2 hymns sung. They are Humility, Love, Discernment, Renunciation, Patience, Kindness, Truthfulness, Equanimity, and Obedience.

Öriyul 2 (English Translation)

1 Gods of Many Blessings, bless the man⁴ who do not submit themselves under the wicked words of False Gods!
2 For they are a delight to other Gods of Virtue, they obey your words and commands.
3 The man is like the luminous Aθa⁵, their soul strengthens the Life Soup,
4 Let this man be prosperous in everything they do!
5 But curse the wicked who do not follow your [the Gods of Several Blessings] ways, Good Gods.
6 They are like dregs of (a) tonic, they are worthless trashes.
7 But Gods of Many Virtues, give them [the Wicked Humans] the Spirit of Discernment
8 Let them repent

2. The suffix -ra is a unique prefix for plural nouns in Kzenöpu. This suffix describes a group of entities that are not identical to each other. Therefore, the group (or set) may not all be identical but have a specific identical attribute. An English example can be something like a set of beds (with different sizes), a flower bouquet (with different types of flowers), or a group of people. This suffix can easily be confused with the prefix xa-, similar to the suffix except for not having a specific attribute.

3. The -mou suffix is an honorific title added to show politeness to a ruler.

4. The word man here is applying to all genders.
