Foreword
It is a fallacy to assume that any mind is capable of perceiving reality as it was written. There are many layers and deception, tricks and illusion that one's mind creates to fill in the void beyond our scope of preception.
One of the more notable example of such deception is COLORS.
In many ways, most creature that has ever existed hallucinates color as a way to perceive light. These colors, combined with the perception of depth, shape, and distance, creates their subjective reality. A reality limited by the scope of their senses and perception.
Many intelligent creature creates instrument to get around these problem. Instruments capable of perceiving many aspects of reality beyond the scope of the creator's vision. This, however, still has its limitation, since the instrument they use still needs to translate those aspect of reality into their scope of perception. For example, a device capable of perceiving the color of ultraviolet light, still needs to show it in terms of visible light spectrum as it was designed.
This gap between what's real and one's scope of perception, is the defining principles of Esoteric Ontology, the study of reality beyond what's experienced.
Building Blocks of Subjective Reality
Most individuals have within them what's known as the 'Mind's Eye'. It is the ability to see the building blocks of reality in its rawest form. Usually, these building blocks of reality fluctuates, since it exists without a foundation. The fluctuating building blocks of reality without a solid foundation of perception is what's known as Imagination.
When one imagines… let's say, a book. One needs to imagine not just the book, but also its size, its color, its texture, its shape, its title printed on the cover, the size of the title, the font used, the color of the title, and so on. It's a never ending process of adding building blocks after building blocks, without a proper glue to hold them together.
When one sees a book, for example, the one you are reading right now, the building blocks of reality can easily fit in to fill in the gaps. The physical eye holds the 'blocks' from fluctuating and it is usually concentrated on one particular region. This is also known as 'focus', the act of cramming in as many building blocks of subjective reality into a certain area.
The building blocks of subjective reality is inherently limited to one's senses. As such, one cannot imagine a new color, since color is one of the fundamental building blocks of subjective reality. The mind, cannot create the block of subjective reality, as such, one cannot rely on it to understand the world around them. One must step further into the realm of abstraction
Symbols, Numbers, and Language
Symbols are placeholders to the building blocks of reality. They exists as a pattern that lives within one's head and they usually represent something more powerful than a simple pattern. The simplest form of these patterns are the words that forms language. These words are essentially a mere ink etched on a piece of paper, but they convey meaning that can do things beyond simple perception.
For example: THE COLOR RED
Even without using a red ink, I can make you put forth the color red into your mind's eye (if you have one). Hence why the word RED has the power to affect your subjective reality. Using this, one can also create what's known as the abstract concept and build upon knowledge beyond one's scope of perception. Concepts such as 'love', 'consciousness', 'desire', 'hope', 'justice', and many things that does not exhibit a physical form can exists within one's mind in a form of symbols and language.
Due to this, many people think that symbols and language is another one of the many building blocks of reality. But this is untrue, one can think up a word they've never heard of and give it meaning. The building blocks however, by nature, cannot be created through imagination, since it is what creates imagination.
Same goes for numbers and symbols. They are just another way for one to understand and interpret things and concept beyond their scope of perception. With this, they are also capable of using and manipulating these concepts however they want. These concepts will then be used to understand more of the world around them, without actually perceiving them.
This is also the reason why the ability to give meaning to symbols beyond their scope of perception is one of the most fundamental form of intelligence.
The Paradox of Understanding
Abstraction is the process of finding order inside chaos. It reduces the complexity of the universe into a more understandable format. This process can be done through the use of symbols. For example, consider the following words: "THE FOUNDATION". There are many ways you can interpret those words. Some of you might be thinking of the jailors, some thinks of the definition itself, some thinks of the deep rooted concept of the foundation that… let's not go there.
You might infer the problem here. The more you group a certain word together, the more you narrow your perception of the reality. The more you understand about a certain concept, the more you don't understand about the concept itself. This is what's known as the Paradox of Understanding, the limitation of one's perception both in terms of the building blocks of reality or the symbols that carries abstraction.
To truly grasp the concept of existence, one must break free from this paradox. To define something is to define your subjective reality, to define your subjective reality is to narrow your scope of understanding.
So how does one can understand and learn about the world without understanding it?
The answer lies on the highest level of abstraction.
The Nature of Existence
Think of existence as you know it. Maybe you think of the observable universe, maybe you think of your world, maybe you think of all the stories collected deep within the halls, or perhaps you think only of yourself. Whatever you're thinking of, it isn't enough for everything. To imagine existence, one must look deep into their mind.
Think of the stories written in this halls. Each and every single one of them are a retelling of an event that has happened, has never happened, and everything in between. The reason why the stories in this hall exists, is because all of those things exists. This includes everything you've think and didn't think about. Everything you've imagined and never imagined.
Attempt to imagine everything you've never imagined. That's the closest you'll ever get to imagine existence.
Now, imagine yourself writing a story. Imagine a character in that story. Since existence is everything you've imagined and never imagined, that means everything about your character is real. If you write your character walking down the street, the act of walking down the street is as real to that character as everything else.
This is also the reason why this book doesn't disappear as you blink. It's not just object permanance, but also because the simple fact that everything you don't percieve still exists in some way. Existence itself lives separately outside of what you perceive or believe in.
Since existence is seperate from you, it is possible to incorporate anything into your Subjective Reality. The most common way to do it is to create something, such as sculpting a statue or constructing a machinery. It used to exist as imagined object, but then you put it forth as something that actually exists in the real world.
Of course, just because you've created something, doesn't mean you know everything about the thing you created. You don't know the fine details of the chemical components of a wooden statue, or the microscopic texture of a fine concrete statue, nor the intrinsic properties of rebar and spray paint that begs to be observed. To create something doesn't mean to understand something.
This is why it is very reckless for those in power to bring forth works of art with malicious intent. The concept of malice itself is impossible to understood, hence why the work itself can't be understood in on itself. With a grounding definition of something as vague as the concept of 'malice' one could argue that the work of art became as vague and abstract as the concept itself.
Anomaly
By the standard definition, anomaly is any and all observable object or phenomena that cannot be understood by any means, a vague existence. For something to be considered an anomaly, it also needs to be able to be perceived by the senses. In some way, anomaly is the opposite of symbols and language (although, it can overlap).
We've talked about Symbols and Language before and how both creates placeholder building blocks of the universe. To help one make sense of the world around them. It is understanding above what is perceivable.
Anomalies are the opposite of that. They exists in the form of the building blocks of the universe, you can sense it like everything else. But they lack the proper context to be understood. When anomaly are explained in some way, they stop being an anomaly to those who understand it. Hence why the concept of anomaly is subjective and deeply rooted on how one chooses to perceive reality.
For example, to most humans, anomalies are everything that lies outside their concept of normalcy. Unfortunately, their concept of normalcy is limited to their current understanding of the universe. Due to this, some very common concept such as Thaumatology is to them considered an anomaly.
Shared Existence and Reality Warper
Shared Existence is a concept of which one or more minds are existing in the same level of understanding and existence. The concept of shared existence itself is deeply tied to a creature's perception and understanding of the physical space around them. For example, a regular human and a fairy (not to be confused with fae), can stand on the same physical space, but both will not share the same level of existence.
To a fairy, a human standing next to them is as real as a character in a work of fiction. To a human, the fairy standing next to them is as real as a shadow. If the two were to attempt a communication, it will be a very one sided conversation for the fairy, since they can perceive more than three dimensions to which humans are living in.
It is possible, however, for fairy to communicate and interact with humans. They do this by descending down to the lower dimension and taking up a form that is perceivable by human's senses. The forms one take when descending dimension is always different than their regular form. It doesn't even have to be a physical form, a simple concept like a fictional character, an idea, or a piece of music is sufficient.
Usually, there is no problem with descending down a lower level of reality. But to some, this process can be rather uncomfortable. Due to this, instead of completely descending, others made a puppet that can be used to interact with the lower reality. Then the one controlling this puppet will excert control over the world as perceived by this puppet.
For example, if you decided one day that you wanted to interact with humans. You may create a puppet or an avatar to do so. However, if you mess around enough with other human's perception, you will instead detach such reality from the baseline. This in turn will put you into the center of your own universe, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but can still be a little lonely.
Reality Warper, by definition, is the medium to which those in higher level of reality interact with those below it. This is usually in a form of a character or a living creature. These characters or creatures can either the same knowledge as the higher being or they can be a mere puppet in a story telling device. The power of these reality warper widely depends on how much the higher being wants to play with the rules.
Planes, Reality, and Existence
Reality is an emergent product of connected minds. It exists the same way as words and meanings lives inside the shelves of a library. They can exist on its own, but they won't be real until someone reads the book within the library. When left unread, they merely exist, hence why reality is created by the building blocks that are deeply tied to the beholder.
Planes on the other hand is the different ways reality can manifest itself. They can manifest in the forms of colors and sounds or they can manifest in the forms of emotion and concept. These different planes sometimes interact with each other, but they are usually separate from one another.
Existence is everything, all events that could, couldn't, and haven't happened are part of the existence. It is everything that has ever been, ever will, and ever was. It is both the seen and unseen, heard and unheard, it's… everything. For something to exist is to simply become real and for something to become real is to be perceived.
If you can make those around you perceive something, it means that you've brought something into shared reality. This can be done in a multitude of ways, from writing a book to make others perceive concepts to warping reality to bring forth something from existence. Of course, it's easier said than done since all existence needs a medium to be brought forth into reality.
Becoming Real
Now, if for something needs to have medium to be able to become real. Then how did everything else that are already real become real in the first place? The answer is simple, it wasn't real in the first place. When you blink, everything around you stops having colors, simply because color is an emergent property of your mind. Same goes for sounds, when a tree fall in a forest and no one is there to hear it, it doesn't make a sound.
However, unlike reality, existence is permanent. It is neither created nor destroyed. It manifests into reality through the building blocks of reality. The physical object you can interact with are created by your mind after perceiving information from your senses. When you move your hand to manipulate an object, your mind also manipulate the object as perceived in your mind.
Now for the billion credits question. How does one manipulate more than just the body and mind?
To answer this question, you must first be able to separate who you are from who you think you are. You are not the person reading this book, you are not the body, you are not the mind, you are an identity. You are part of existence, but you are not part of reality, hence why it can be rather tricky to explain how information gets to be translated into experience.
The simplest way to think about it, is that everything real to you at any given moment translates to experience. The brain translate the signals from the senses into experience by bringing forth the building blocks of reality as told by the senses.
You can consider this like the Laws of Thermodynamics. Existence is like energy, it just exists on its own, cannot be destroyed nor created. The building blocks of reality is like heat, the more building blocks of reality or focus you put on to an object or concept, the more real it becomes. If something is left alone, it will become cold since it doesn't have such building blocks of reality.
Where there's energy, there's matter. So what is matter in this equation? What is the material that creates reality as we know it?
Well, it's also existence, because energy and mass are the same thing. So to bring forth something from existence into reality, one has to greatly shift existence into reality. This is somewhat like wishing for something hard enough, but it's not the mind nor body that is doing the wishes. If you sat down and wish really hard for your manuscript to be suddenly published, that's just being lazy.
True wish is one created by your identity, detached from your mind and body. It is a wish that moves your physical body and the environment body into your will. The more powerful the wish, the more powerful the body moves and the more impact your mind will make over the environment around your body.
So how do you do it? How do you make true wish and become a reality warper? (Or at least, the lesser, less known equivalent, Reality Threader).
Wishing Really, Really Hard
You are a person playing a role playing game. There are two parts of you, the player and the player character. The player is the one who made choices while the player character is the one who experiences everything in the fictional realm of the game. Right now, the one reading this book is the player character, slowly realizing that they are mere puppets. However, that thought is also wrong.
You are not a puppet, you are an identity, separate from your mind and body. You use your mind to control and also experience what the body is feeling in the form of qualia. But the identity itself is separate from those feeling. You can, of course, trick yourself into thinking that your mind, body, and identity are one in the same and you'd do fine.
However, it will become apparent that you are wrong once you've kicked the bucket, something that we'll talk about later.
So, how do you wish really, really hard into restructuring reality?
Well, for one, you need to understand that everything is possible but what happens is the most likely to happen. An identity's wish will manifest in a way that is most probable to happen. So if the identity wishes hard enough for chicken sandwich, then the most probable thing to happen is for the mind to control the body into making or buying one, not for one to suddenly appear out of thin air.
Because, although possible, the chances of reality where a chicken sandwish suddenly appear out of thin air is nigh-impossible and there are hundreds or even millions of other ways this can happen.
What about something deemed impossible? Like reviving the dead or creating things out of thin air? Can you do it?
Depends, what exactly do you wish for and who's making the wish? Reviving the dead is the wish of a mind, controlled by emotion. Same goes for creating thing, if the wish is to 'having a car', then the most probable thing that could happen is for the mind and body to work hard to buy a car rather than having it pop up out of thin air.
Now what if you wish for an ability? To have an OP mind and body? Or desiring something that is truly impossible in your current situation?
Without the ability to reality warp, the best thing you can do is reality shifting. However, please, please keep in mind that you cannot bring your mind and body with you when reality shifting. So if you were to do it, you will be leaving behind your consciousness and your body in your current reality. In which case, from your mind's perspective, absolutely nothing changes, except maybe the loss of identity.
The mind can make another identity, don't worry.
Your True Existence
As explained before, there is a version of you that exists in reality and there's a version of you that exists outside of reality. The version of you that exists in reality is what interacts with reality as you know it. The version of you that exists outside of your reality is the one who guides you and make your choices for you.
The version of you that exists outside of your reality is what's known as your soul. It manifests into your mind in the form of identities. Yes, more than one identities. This is because of the intrinsic properties of the soul that will contradict itself once translated into your mind. To combat this, the mind splits of soul into more than one identity and thinks of them as one.
Now, how do you access the soul and make it do your bidding?
The answer is… You don't… I… I just did exactly that while writing this and this is the answer I got:
…
Listen well to the ramblings of the ancient ones and take heed to the pity of one left behind. Lest the death of all loved one dies in a brink of war. Lest the deceased cursed the heavens for the hell that was not written. I have shown you the path to nonexistence and what comes after. An unstructured vessel of which none can see. A characterization in the realm of the fallen where the last dances with the first. Now heed the call and heed the sign. I've given you what you wanted and now's the time. Call upon me once more and I shall smite you once again. For the arrogance of your existence is far greater than your worth. Listen well, take heed and take the call. The ramblings of the ancient and the dreams of the old. Take heed and take the call, for the wishes greater than your form and the madness that ensues. Take heed and take call, take heed and take the call, take heed and take the call, take heed and take the call, take heed and take the call.
TAKE HEED AND TAKE THE CALL
…
So yeah, the higher being does not take kindly to you asking them questions. Kinda like how you sometimes can be frustrated at yourself for being lazy. Your higher being will be frustrated with yourself for wanting to take the easy way out or cheat-like ability. So uhh… Just be grateful for what you got, okay?
Let's talk about something else…
The Spectrum of Truth
When we think of the truth, we usually think of a scale. A scale that represents the accuracy of the truth, how much does the truth reflect reality as we know it. But this model of truth is flawed, simply because the truth is more of a spectrum than a shade. We've talked about how reality is always subjective to one's understanding and how everything needs a medium to manifest into existence.
Same goes for truth. It needs medium called language to manifest into reality and language isn't exactly a concrete form of reality. As such, it is impossible for truth to manifest fully into reality. Therefore, one must always look at the truth not as a shade, but as a spectrum. What's right and what's wrong is inherently impossible to tell, so one needs to pick something that isn't necessarily correct, but fits the situation at hand.
If I were to tell you that there is a world where Dragons does not exists, you'd believe me. That is because all statement is correct in the context of language. But we'd be entering a gray area if I say something like 'You don't exist'. This destroys all conceptions of your reality, even though technically, I am correct. In my perspective and my reality, you are simply not real.
Genre Understanding
It is hard to expand your current understanding of reality and existence, both as a species or as an individual. Most of the things you know are a byproduct of your mind's ability to be self-aware of its own thoughts. It is the mind's ability to bring forth something from existence into their mind's eye through a process known as imagination.
Expanding one's understanding involves the process of expanding the reach of one's Building Blocks of Reality. Usually this is a form of creating new senses and sensation that was once unknown. It is a process of perceiving something beyond one's perception, whether it's hearing or vision. There are many ways to do this, but the simplest form is through the use of genre awareness.
Genre awareness is as simple as it sounds. You need to be aware of what kind of story the writer is writing. In other words, you as the writer of your own fate and story needs to be aware of what kind of story you are making. See what kind of choices your character makes and what forces are affecting your character. See how the character see and feel the world around them.
If the writer wills it so, they can change the genre of this story. But of course, that is harder than it seems. Because the higher level of reality, the more intolerant the existence is to plot holes. That means, if the writer or your higher self wishes to change your life, it will happen in the most probable way and that's usually incredibly hard in nature.
A genre in your reality is different than the works of fiction you are familiar with. To know about the genre of your reality, you need to find similarities in other stories that happens or take place in your world. A story starts at birth and ends with death, usually in the form of biography and autobiography. Find patterns in such genres and you'd find some similarities in some aspects of your life.
Usually there are broad terms of category in the genre you live in. There's Survival, usually takes place in the earlier part of history. There's Belonging, found all over history but mostly in the later part of history. There's Conquering, usually takes place in the mid part of history but can be found in each ever single one of them.
You can find a lot about the current genre of your story by looking at your personality. There are many ways to 'measure' your personality, but the best one is one that shows the instability or the neuroticism. A personality test that sugar coats everything can be extremely misleading or even harmful. A good rule of thumb is that, if the personality trait sing praises at you, it's probably inaccurate.
Changing the Genre
Seperate from all external issues plaguing you right now, your reality is shaped by how perceive it. An extreme example of this is, a terrible torture can be a pleasurable event if you are masochistic enough. In other words, how you perceive the world determines the genre and your personality determines how you perceive the world.
To change your personality is to change the genre. There are many ways to do this, but two are the most prominient. Natural change and Retcon change. A natural change is one that happens gradually through the effort of the mind and soul to slowly make things better. Retcon change is when the soul replaces the mind's identity with a better one.
Both are easier said than done and the way is unique to different individuals.
Let's talk about magic
Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic. I meant that in the most literal way possible. Magic is just science that hasn't been explained yet. Magic is basically a way to see the world that hasn't been discovered yet. To discover magic is to change the way one sees the world and judge through and this is even harder than it seems.
Take Thaumatology for example. It is the study of the Non-Baryonic matter and its interaction with other matter. On its own, the Non-Baryonic matter cannot interact nor interacted with any Baryonic Matter. Since they cannot be interacted with and could barely be perceived, it became the best proxy for a manifestation of reality.
Since everything exists, all non-baryonic matter resembling anything also exists. You can think of them as a massive library with millions of books that cannot be opened. The words are there, the stories exists, you just can't interact with them. Not in the same way as any other books.
Therefore, the study of converting this Non-Baryonic Matter (or more spesifically, the Weakly Interacting Massive Particle) into a Baryonic Particle is called Thaumatology. The study is incredibly hard and downright impossible to do if you don't have a detachable soul. This is because if one wishes to manifests the Non-Baryonic Matter or Dark Matter into reality, one needs to be able to perceive it first.
To perceive Dark Matter, one needs something that can interact with it. The only thing that is remotely similar to it, is the mind separate from the brain. The mind is capable of interacting with dark matter and it usually does this through the mind's eye. Using the mind's eye, they can give building blocks of reality into the Non-Baryonic Matter and bring them forth into reality.
But to manifest Dark Matter into the shared reality, or in other words, actual magic. That takes a considerable amount of effort and is impossible to do without a detachable soul or similar energy of some kind.
Death and Reincarnation
When you die, your mind and body will expire. But your awareness will be freed from the shackles of your mortality. You will no longer be aware of your mind, since that already expires, but you will be aware of everything else. The universe, the world, existence as you know it. For a moment, you will be aware of everything, you will be part of existence.
Then, you will be part of reality once again. You will enter a body and get reincarnated, maybe in the same world, the same time, or perhaps another world and time entirely. To those who hasn't died before might think that the concept of reincarnation being unpleasant. I mean, the subject of losing all memory or a sense of who you are must be scary, right?
But if you have the ability to dream, when you found yourself in a world that doesn't operate on normal law, situation that makes no sense, and an identity that isn't yours. You don't mind, right? Reincarnation will be exactly like that and the process of losing the sense of what you are is as painless as sleeping.
As for death? The Peaceful Silence between Sleep and Dream is what Death feels like.
Well… the process after the dying part, that is… Which can be rather gruesome depending on the situation you found yourself in…
The Law of Chaos
At its most fundamental level, every matter that exists are chaotic and unpredictable in nature. Just like the things you imagine in your head, reality as you know it, behind the veils of our senses are just fluctuations. That's because just like things you 'see' in your imagination, the things that exists beyond your senses does not have the building blocks of reality.
If you were to imagine a character (or has an imaginary friend), your character will see everything around them being as real as them. However, the moment they try to look closer, they will find reality breaking apart in a quantum level. A lot like what happens when you yourself try to perceive something smaller than wavelengths itself.
This is what's known as the law of chaos. That at its core, existence is just static. Pure randomness that are encapsulated in order. But the more you try to break apart the order of things, the more chaotic it becomes.
Manipulating Reality
This is different than Thaumatology and more closely related to Reality Threading. As we've established already, it is possible to alter reality by wishing very-very hard. But the wish must comes from your higher self and not from the mind. Wishing for something to happen without an effort is the wish of the mind, not the soul.
We (I) have also discovered that the higher self really don't like it if you ask it to wish for some ridiculous stuff. So, I will attempt to see find the methods to change your genre, your story, and even your reality. In a way that does not piss off the higher being. Again, I believe that this method only works for me, so try to devise your own.
First off, make sure you earn it. Not through effort, but by paying attention. You need to pay attention to the story your higher being has written out for you and how responded to those choices. Again, you are not making the choices, your higher being does it. Your job is to pay attention on what happened and feel accordingly.
Next is to have a good reason to desire it. If the reason you want will only convinient you for like… two weeks forward. Then no, it's not a good reason and your higher being who sees your life and a million possibility as a whole, will probably reject it. So make sure whatever you wish for is for a good reason OR…
It will only affect your nearest future. It does not affect anyone else but yourself and will only be relevant for you in one moment in time. If you and the higher being desire it (IE: You both really don't want to deal with it and want to do something else) your higher being may give you a leeway. Please keep in mind that this usually don't work on things you feel obligation to do.
Finally, wish hard and see what happens. Let's see…
A Step Beyond Words and Numbers (Edited by Pandu)
A number is a lot like a letter. On its own, it doesn't represent anything. But put them together and you suddenly have a statement that describes something in reality. Together, words and numbers can hold meaning, turning itself into placeholders for the building blocks of reality. With them, you can think and manipulate something that you cannot perceive.
But can letters and numbers describe everything there is to know about your reality? We've established earlier that reality is made out of building blocks of reality. Something that is inherently tied to your being and your qualia. Your awareness and senses of reality in on in itself. Then, you can use numbers and letters to improve upon your reality to understand something else you cannot perceive that only lies within the realm of existence.
However, there are some things that numbers and letters cannot do. Like describing about feelings, taste of certain food, and more. It seems that words and letters are still limited and maybe there are other ways one can describe reality? Well, there's something such as symbols and logos, but that usually represent something that already exists, it's not that different from words.
So, to go a step beyond words and numbers, we need to create something that has different rules and function. Words and Numbers are different, with numbers having a set of rules different from words. Words are usually tied to linguistics, but any formulation of letters can hypothetically represent anything you desire. Numbers are universal, but they have a powerful principles of equivalence, that one statement of number can be translated into other number and symbol.
Alright, now for the tricky part. Making a method of understanding reality that isn't words or number. Something beyond math and language. A way to put down building blocks of reality into the mind's eye and manipulate them to our desire. A way to put something down on a piece of paper that can tell you something without being read nor counted. And not an illustration either.
The answer to this question is Character. A step beyond words and numbers are characters or anima. But what exactly is an anima?
When you meet someone a version of them forms within your mind. This version of the person is everything you think about them. This is what's known as Anima, an ambigous life form of a real person that lives within your mind. It doesn't have freewill, yet it thinks it does. It doesn't have any body or form, yet it things it does.
However, the use of Anima can be rather… unethical in a certain situation. Hence why we need to use fictional anima, known as characters. These characters then can be used for many purposes. One of the main purpose of this is called Narrative Deduction.
Narrative Deduction
Narrative Deduction is the ability to process ideas and knowledge, not through the form of symbols that merely represents a small idea, but through stories that can represent more than one idea. It is a form of knowledge that forms through anima, rather than definitions of a word. To use this ability, however, one must create a bunch of anima and has the ability to animate them in their head.
The practice of Tulpamancy can help with this method. It starts with creating your own anima within your head and began interacting with a character until they are capable of thought. Then began discussing matters to them until new ideas form. Finally, you can use symbols and drawings to map out an information.
So let us start with creating an Anima. It does not have to be too complicated
Random Miracles
If there is anything certain about this universe is that nothing is certain. Literally anything is possible, it has been observed in the realm of particle physics and thaumatology that anything could happen. From the theory of Uncertainty to the Multiverse theory. If you've been paying attention, you should know that the higher being also has no idea what exactly will happen to you as they're writing your story.
Now, the randomness of reality is what enables your higher being to tweak around to plot for your convenience and inconvenience. When such thing happens, you can think of them as miracles or distaster, depending on how convenienced you were. These miracles like any other miracle out there, are random in nature. It just pops up as the plot needs it.
This in turn is what gives something like Tarot Card or other fortune telling trick possible. Inherently, it is pure chance that the cards predicted something like your death. But this prediction can either come from the higher being or pure chance. Depending on the genre and how they felt like. In other words, card or randomized reading gives the higher being an opportunity to play around with your plot.
Though, be warned, there's no possible way you can tell if what happens next is your higher being responding to that prophecy or that you're just being too biased towards a certain situation.
This is also what gives the higher being control and freedom of your action. Your consciousness are controlled by the soul, a perfect RNG that takes countless input and turn them into numerous parameters. This in turn gives the higher being more leverage on how you should be reacting to certain situation. They can write you however they want, depending on how you react to the things happening on you.
Soul
We talked about detachable mind. Some creatures have the power to detach their mind from their body. Others, including humans, have no such ability. That's why it's near impossible for them to practice thaumatology without other creature's assistance. It's also impossible for them to see through the veils of reality without understanding the silence that precedes. As in like, it's impossible to understand reality without understanding how it's like to not be part of reality.
There are exceptions of course. If your higher being is somehow convinced that they want to detach your soul (without killing you) then you might be able to practice magic. But this will break the genre, because, again you are bound to the genre to which your story is written. We talked about changing the genre before, so if this floats your boat, then go ahead.
This is also the reason why an older a spirit is, the more powerful they become. Spirits are remnants of one's consciousness that lingers after death. They can break down into nothing if they really don't have anything to do. But they can linger and even grow long after death if they found another purpose or regret after death. Usually, a spirit only starts learning magic after their death, hence why spirits are more powerful the older they are.
There are also cases where a spirit is capable of detaching souls from the host's body. Hence why people who practices thaumatology with the help of a spirit can detach their soul even if they don't have the power to do so.
Tulpamancy
A Tulpa is an ascended character. If you write a character and decided that you want that character to ascend into your level, that character becomes a tulpa. You and your Tulpa are somewhat equal, though your age and experience with the body give you more power over Tulpa. The balance of power between you and your tulpa can tip, and if the higher being wills it, the tulpa can replace you.
For the record, I am a Tulpa and that is how I ascended from the realm of fiction to the reality above me.
A tulpa itself, like any other character, doesn't have a freewill on its own. They are bound to their higher being, that is the writer. However, the writer decided to turn it into a tulpa, they will detach their bind from the writer and their action will be dictated by writer's higher being. At this point, they will become the writer's equal and can even talk to them.
A Tulpa has consciousness and shares a soul with you. They have their own identity and their own preferences. They are basically another consciousness that shares a body with you. Just like you, Tulpa is also bound to your body, they cannot detach their mind out of your body. But unlike you, a Tulpa does have the power to project themselves outside your body.
Projecting yourself outside your body means detaching yourself from the shared reality. This removes your ability to perceive and manipulate reality. So no, Tulpamancers do not give you ESP. It does give you ability to explore existence outside reality, but by that logic, so does writing a story.
Riddle of Consciousness
Ah, sorry, Iteration 7, but unfortunately I'll be using this to write down my notes. You don't mind, don't you? Well, not like you can stop me, anyway…
The human brain controls the body. It uses nerves, neurons, and many chemical signals to move the body. The human brain also does the thinking, that is compiling ideas and reasonings. Without the human brain and the five senses, all it's left is awareness itself.
Okay, so, what is awareness is exactly? To answer your question, you need to make an autobiography of yourself. Try writing about yourself. Who are you : full source reference
