Trip to the Wakefield manor/tour, early morning, used to placate and sedate any wares.

In the Wakefield tour its said that some of those that “speak to the waves” encounter more fish off the island.

A stone in the courtyard reads “Those who come to know the truth, leave a part of themselves, forever blessed to recapitulate the story of their mothers.” And another that reads “Mothers carry the next part of story.” And a next stone: “ Damned are those Fathers that bore us into futures untamed. Exalt and stand in the solidarity of the Mother. She that brings forth sentry unto existence.” Then the final stone in the courtyard: “For She is the Light ever giving, a beacon of The Life everlasting”…. Then a statue to “Moloch” an ancient deity upon which child sacrifice rests…

Katie interviews

Rumors are katie never knew father, that he and her mother met randomly like most people born on the island. Most either move on to “mainland things” or resign themselves to living deeper into the Island.Katie is one of the rare souls that can negate and understand the dark allure of the island and the history of the Wakefields.

The Wakefield patriarchs sedate and have sex with some of the local women. As well as some of the local women have sex with “out-of-towners” in hopes of mothering children’s for Moloch

It is hinted at, the Wakefield Family is part of a cult that uses child sacrifice to maintain a “baseline” reality. They used to use locals to have children to sacrifice to Moloch, but as the world has become larger and more digitized, Moloch needs more than just sacrifice, the creature needs to feed on the fear associated with it.

Marina introduced

In the midst of the crazed and turbulent bar, amongst the depraved and wandering souls, a curly haired, dark skinned woman of southern Italian decent stood resounding. She glowed with a hyper-liminal energy that, in itself, drowned out all my prior attempts to establish meaning. The allure she exhibited in the time between lining up and executing her shots, was nothing less than an abated trial of skill and seduction. This woman held within the strike of her cue, the kind of planning and rebuttal often reserved for an angry and jaded lover. Her statement was realized as felt met marble, and the two dimensional aspect of the billiard table broke. Should greater and higher states of being exist, defining the very nature of her demure held within it the concept of “Novelty”, given her singular command of the delicate game. I stood mesmerized. Fixated on both her actions, and her form. Her dark eyes met mine and yielded a momentary pause in my pontification. I looked at her, and she looked right back, and smiled.

After her eye caught mine, she went on to sink every applicable ball against an all too concerned gentleman opponent. She raised her curly-haired head every now and then from the sportsmanship to look at me. She negated and dismissed the ease of her championship against blatantly tenured players and then nodded to a unengaged man that was leaning against the back wall. She and him, seeming to acknowlege an agreed upon debt. After domineering the space, she looked resounding towards the man against the wall. He shook his head. He along with two failed compatriots conversed amongst themselves. They expelled sounds too quick and egregious to be distinguishable as words, and in a time too short to be of note. They then vacated the bar, each making a scowl in the direction of the triumphant woman.
