Tale of the 810th
The 810th was a British company in the battle of Waterloo and served as an experimental company. The company was subjected to extreme torture and unethical experiments such as injecting a serum into their collarbone to generate rocks that are biologically attached to the person. A serum was found to increase skin tolerance to bullets and melee weapons but gradually killed the unfortunate user of this serum.
Men were drafted across the British Empire to participate in these kinds of inhumane and ethically incorrect tests. 500 men were drafted and none survived the testing and the battle of Waterloo.
For the scientists, some were drafted in and some volunteered to cause this inhumane treatment of brave men. Some scientists were disgusted at how these men were treated and created an organization against testing on human subjects. Some scientists were not the same, though. This kind of scientist enjoyed the torment of lab rat human beings and even furthered the research of torment, even after the British Government blocked any kind of research like this.
