Denka's Tears

The cold droplets of Denka's tears.
Those that weren't caught by the idle leaves.
That weren't halted by the swallow's pleads.
They engulf me in a shell of moisture.
Of a relaxing dew.
Of cool air.

Grill

I enjoy what I do here.
Clouding my lungs and filling my pores with the fat of beef.
Blackening them with the liquid that engulfs all and drips from the shutters above.
Meant to delay the escape of the poisonous filth not meant for breathing.
Retarding the fan's suction of the life bleeding vapor.
Depleting the youth of the single care taker.
For why clean a wall when we can wash a shutter?

12:21, 10/02/2022 - grammar and small change

A male and a female hiking on a cliff.
The male slips off the edge, but is saved by the female when she grabs his dark hand with her adrenaline-shot grip.
He stares up at her struggling to hold his weight. Knowing that a slow fall to his death lies beneath him.
She, panicked by his certain demise, barely catches her breath as her eyes begin to water.
He lifts his right hand to his lips and presses the side of its forefinger on them. "Shhh," he whispers.
Salt water engulfs her sight. Her throat aches as she attempts to speak.
He carefully reaches toward her face, touches her forehead with the tip of his fingers, and slowly drags it over her overflowing eyes, past her lip, and down her chin.
Her face contorts as salty droplets drizzle onto his.
He sings with the slightest whisper, "Always look at the brighter side of things," before relaxing the muscles and slipping from her life.
She screams out his name yelling "Please, don't go!"
He gazes up at her with a smile the long way down. A permanent feature on his broken, bloodlied corpse.

GInspired

A boy awakes to a shattered world.
Guided by the voice of a stranger-man.
Around he runs searching the broken land.
Constantly gathering more weapons in hand.

He finds a man left alone in the world.
He finds a woman who ran from the world.

On he climbs evermore.
Searching endlessly for the final door.
When the time comes to make a choice.
He chooses to move on with one rejoice.
