Special Containment Procedures: SCP-9399-1 is the only currently contained instance, and should be at all times within its standard humanoid containment cell of 6x6x5 meters. The cell walls, as well as the ceiling and the floor, are padded with five-inch thick white mattresses. Large stainless steel snap hooks are positioned on the walls and on the floor with a distance of 1.5 meters in between each hook. The room is lit by two rows of built-in LED lights. No furniture was currently requested by SCP-9399-1.

SCP-9399-1 is to be provided with meteorite fragments or any sort of space debris three times per day. Its custom-made clothing should be thoroughly washed and switched out every week. A tracking microchip is implanted in SCP-9399-1’s neck.

In the event that SCP-9399-1 breaches containment, a standard security squadron should be sent to its location to retrieve it. If SCP-9399-1 is to “float” during the breach, it is to be retrieved via helicopter capture.

Description: SCP-9399 refers to the entities known as SCP-9399-1 through -218, which are humanoid entities that possess the physical traits of common human children, with the exception of their matte black eyes with miniature replicas of the night sky relative to their current position. Although similar in appearance to SCP-134, no relationship between SCP-9399 instances and SCP-134 could be found at the moment. SCP-9399-1’s appearance resembles that of a twelve-year-old child with dark grey skin, short curly white hair, and a slim build.

SCP-9399-1 will often “float” unprompted. For a duration anywhere from one minute to 400 hours, the instance is no longer subjected to the relative gravity of Earth and will start to gravitate away from the ground. If it is not stopped by another object, it is theorized to be able to escape the atmosphere of Earth. It is currently provided with a polyester straitjacket with safety straps, allowing it to utilize the snap hooks of its containment cell in order to move around.

SCP-9399 instances are resistant, but still susceptible to physical damages. Their skin has the feel of the material used for spacesuits. Blood tests reveal that instance -1 has a black, starry liquid resembling its eyes in lieu of blood, and no DNA was obtained from its hair or skin.

SCP-9399 instances refer to themselves as the “Children of [REDACTED]”, or “Dwarf Progenitors”. Their natural habitat is the orbit of planets in the solar system. The currently captured instance refers to itself as “Lune”, or Moon in French. It was first observed orbiting Earth, struggling to free itself from a piece of space debris that strapped its legs. 30 hours later, it was seen performing atmospheric entry at a velocity of 190 mph, essentially falling at terminal velocity into the atmosphere. Its position was estimated to be 100 miles away from the east coast of Greenland, where it was retrieved and put into Foundation custody.

Addendum A: Interview log with SCP-9399-1.

Interviewed: SCP-9399-1

Interviewer: Dr. Charles, Dr. Normand

<Begin Log, 14:20>

Dr. Charles: Please state your name, age, and where you come from.

SCP-9399-1: Je… Allez-y moins vite, je ne vous comprends pas. (Please go slower, I cannot understand you.)

Dr. Charles: Ah, dammit. Uh, get Normand in here.

(Dr. Normand arrives 10 minutes later.)

Dr. Normand: What’s up?

Dr. Charles: Ralph, I need a bit of translation here. This little one speaks french.

Dr. Normand: Oh, okay! I can do that for you.

(Dr. Charles transfers the questions to Dr. Normand, who speaks to the SCP. The following conversation is translated from french.)

Dr. Normand: Hello. State your name, age and where you are from.

SCP-9399-1: I am Moon. I come from there. (It gestures to the sky.)

Dr. Normand: How old are you?

SCP-9399-1 shakes its head. It’s unclear whether it did not know or did not want to respond.

Dr. Normand: Okay. How did you get here?

SCP-9399-1: I fell.

Dr. Normand: Fell how?

SCP-9399-1: I played with my food and got caught in a piece, and it pulled me down.

Dr. Normand: What do you mean by food? What do you eat?

SCP-9399-1: Anything that floats around me.

Dr. Normand: How did you get into space?

SCP-9399-1: Mother, and my siblings, they’re all up there still.

Dr. Normand: Who is your mother?

SCP-9399-1: She’s the one who protects all of us, and all if you. We are the children of Sauelsuesor.

Dr. Normand: I don’t think I’ve heard that name before.

SCP-9399-1: We children have to learn to become like her, a protector. A progenitor.

Dr. Normand: And what do you do?

SCP-9399-1: I have to protect the universe. But for now, I’m still learning, so I have to protect the Moon first. Then if Mother thinks I’m ready, I can do the same for Earth, like she does.

Dr. Normand: And how do you plan to do that?

SCP-9399-1: I find the bad th— (SCP-9399-1 begins to float away from its seat.)

Dr. Charles: (in english) Wait, hey! Stop that!

Dr. Normand: What? Um, SCP-9399-1, is this something that usually happens?

SCP-9399-1: I’m sorry, it just turns on from time to time. I'll probably fall down in a bit.

Dr. Normand: Can you get down by yourself?

SCP-9399-1: No, I don’t control this. I’m sorry.

Dr. Normand: Okay. (He turns to Dr. Charles) It can’t control it, but it says that it should stop floating in a bit.

SCP-9399-1: Are you still in contact with Mother?

Dr. Normand: I don’t think I know who you are referring to.

SCP-9399-1 extends its arm, pointing to seemingly nothing, in a position reminiscent of SCP-179.

Dr. Normand: No, I don’t recognize it.

SCP-9399-1: That’s too bad. Perhaps Mother was not talking to you.

Dr. Normand: Can you tell us more?

SCP-9399-1: There is no reason to, since Mother does not address you, you won’t understand.

Dr. Normand: Alright. Can you tell us about your siblings?

SCP-9399-1 falls from the ceiling, stands up soon after to sit on its chair.

Dr. Charles: We’re going to have to cushion the cell.

SCP-9399-1: My siblings are guarding their respective planets just like me.

Dr. Normand: And why is there only one of you for the Earth?

SCP-9399-1 remains silent and refuses to speak for the rest of the interview/

Dr. Charles: Alright, we’ll try again in the future. Thanks for your help, Ralph.

<End Log, 14:55>

Closing Statement: Following the interview, Dr. Normand and Dr. Charles were both given amnestics according to the 5/179 procedure.
