Special Containment Procedures: SCP-9993 can be contained through the separation of its two instances, SCP-9993-A and SCP-9993-B. In the event that the two instances were to meet, the only way to separate the entity is to provide a continuous or high source of energy, be it thermal, electric or nuclear. The two instances will sporadically attempt to breach containment, at the same time, and can aid each other through telepathic communication.
Instance 9993-A resides at site-17, in a high-security cell patrolled at all times by two (2) armed guards. The instance has no need for sustenance. Visits are only granted to level 3 or higher staff, and only with approval by the site director.
Instance 9993-B is currently uncontained, its approximate location is thought to be in Arequipa, Peru. Due to its dangerous nature, agents in the area must evacuate all civilians if the instance was to be sighted and proceed to protocol 9993-B “Jaula de Perro” (see addendum A).
Description: SCP-9993 refers to:
- The entity known as SCP-9993-E;
- SCP-9993-A and -B, its two instances when contained;
- SCP-9993-D, the “pocket dimension” created by its containment breach.
The two instances of SCP-9993 appear to be originally a single entity. The separation of the two instances via a large amount of kinetic energy allows them to be contained. Fusion of the two instances results systematically in a containment breach.
The surplus of potential energy created by the fusion of the two instances results in the creation of a dimensional fissure, a “pocket dimension” (SCP-9993-D) that can be entered and explored. It appears gradually, taking any length of time from 5 to 120 minutes, on the nearest flat surface (wall, floor, etc.) and can expand up to 1.5 km x 7.5 km. The pocket dimension is yet to be explored.
The two instances, 9993-A and 9993-B appear to be a young man and a young woman. They refer to themselves as Marc and Lizzie respectively. 9993-A is upbeat, eloquent and helpful, while 9993-B is depressed, lethargic and half-hearted. The fused entity refers to itself with an unpronounceable name, but the two separate instances refer to it as “Enconsummationemaenimaelum”, or SCP-9993-E.
SCP-9993-E speaks directly through telepathic communication. Despite its language being unpronounceable and untranslatable, the addressed individual will always understand what was conveyed. The entity is violent, unpredictable, though its goal is generally to trick or force people to fall into the pocket dimension.
SCP-9993 was first discovered in its fused form, aka SCP-9993-E, in Lima, Peru. It has swallowed part of the city by opening the pocket dimension right under it. Coincidentally, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake impacted the entire region soon after Foundation agents had arrived. The earthquake’s continuous kinetic energy disrupted the entity, momentarily separating the two instances, and closing the pocket dimension. Agents attempted to secure the two instances, but SCP-9993-B had escaped after causing multiple casualties. SCP-9993-A remained cooperative. An estimated 50,000 civilians have gone missing due to SCP-9993-D.
ADDENDUM A — protocol 9993-B “Jaula de Perro”.
In the event that SCP-9993-B were to be located, Mobile Task Force Tawa-1 “Carceleros” will attempt to reason with the entity, and capture it via armed threats. No violence should be used towards the entity.
Mobile Task Force Tawa-1 “Carceleros” will capture the entity by dropping a large steel web, with a minimum weight of 10t over it, and securing it as soon as it is incapacitated.
Mobile Task Force Tawa-1 “Carceleros” will be deployed immediately and will secure the entity via confronting it directly with open fire until it is weakened enough to be captured.
The updated protocol consists of luring the instance with pieces of a nougat sweet dish into a secured van, then bringing it to the nearest containment area.

Due to the violent nature of SCP-9993-E, it would be best to not reassemble its two instances, however, in the eventuality of having to contain a dangerous SCP, its pocket dimension seems to be the best solution.
Hear this.
The interior of the pocket dimension is different from how it looks from the outside. Probably. One has yet to come back from it. Tests are basically Schrodinger’s D-class personnel. Still, we never got to explore it thoroughly, because every time it appears we have to separate -A and -B before -E causes too many casualties.
This means, in other words, that we can potentially use it as an alternative for 106 or 1499.
Of course, it’s a dangerous game we play with 9993-E, again due to how aggressive it can be at times. This is purely speculation and proposal, but tempting when we think about objects such as 682, 6481 and more.
Some day, we might not have a choice.
