Of Sirduvant and the Population of the World
In the times before the tears of the gods flooded the world, Sirduvant was at the center of the continent of Irentha. The name Sirduvant means 'Great Tree' in the language of the gods, a fitting name, for it's roots held the very ground together, and it's crown lay in the Imadel, which lurks behind the sun and stars. It's branches were trees, each one unique and the first of it's kind, and their seeds fell to the ground and grew there. Soon, the trees spread throughout the provinces. Among the lowest branches were the oak, pine, and chestnut trees, and these became the most abundant across Irentha, but the highest branches were comprised of trees which never grew upon the ground, and which no longer exist save in the memories of the gods. Here the lesser gods made there home, and both the Noth and Nuil lived together in peace. Sirdalim is said to have placed in these branches fruits for the lesser gods to eat. From this fruit, the gods obtained the knowledge of creation which they used to populate the world. They wove out of the Imadel every plant and animal, every fawn and fish, every flower and fern, and when they were done, they tied them to stars which fell upon the world, and so the world was filled with life. Then, seeing the need for creatures with which to share the beauty of their creation, Sirdalim commanded that the races of Elves and Men be made in the image of the lesser gods, and so they were. Sirdalim then blessed them with knowledge so that they might care for the fawns in the forests, and tend to the flowers in the fields. Thus began the First Age.
The Provinces of Irentha
The provinces of Irentha during the First Age differ greatly from the provinces of today. Instead of being divided by great rivers, the provinces did not have distinct borders, for they were simply areas surrounding important places within Irentha. These provinces were usually named after the geography or resources of the area.
Nuiladen
The province which housed Nuilenim and the rest of the Enuvanti mountain range. It extended northward from Sirduvant until it touched the sea
