The Great Mystery

I can still remember looking outside my bedroom window and seeing my home town thriving and the dark shadows of the forest as always stalking the townfolk like a great predator and keeping the town boxed in. Even if the shadows went away and allowed a fire to ignite inside the forest nobody would be the one to bring the match stick to ignite it. Everyone was so jolly and contempt with their simple lives. No body cared for anything else besides their nice homes. The buildings all were organized and beautiful at the same time. Every building made my imagination spiral out of control and think about all sorts of stuff. The buildings were a great represantation of the people. Everyone was so happy and nice in the community and as far as everyone knew, we were the only ones in the world. Everyone, including me, understood everything about this town and I understood my little home in and out, every basement, every shop, and even every single person’s house. This was a home every man including myself dreamed of dwelling in. It was so nice and quiet. Many of my fellow residents felt contempt living and dying there they lived. Why explore and wander if you already have everything in front of you they all said to me.
But something kept bugging me, I kept wondering is there any other towns besides our own. Surely we cannot be the only ones out here, maybe just maybe there is something outside our town I thought. There could be who knows what lurking inside the great dark forest that envelopes us. Beasts that only imagination could make or towns so wonderful it puts my little happy town to shame but even I doubted that. Maybe there is light even in the darkest and coldest places I thought. Many of my fellow town’s folk said to me, there were dangerous monsters lurking out there, some said there were other towns dotting the dark forest, while others said that the dark forest was only a bunch of trees and grass and I shouldn’t waste my time thinking about it. But no one really knew for sure and really cared, except for me.
Something about there only being a single happy town and a great dark forest seemed empty to me. While my friends were just contempt with their simple repetitive lives, I was not, I decided to go there no man has even dared to go. I couldn’t care about what I will find in the forest, it could’ve ended my life very early or it could’ve given me knowledge I can’t comprehend. So, one day I decided to live my little cozy town that I have called home for my entire life and explore this forest. I passed the bakery shops there I would go weekly for some bread, the houses there I would talk to my deer friends, and the golden fields of my good friend John’s farm. I decided to look back at my town for one last time and stepped into the great forest that I feared, but also marveled for so long.
I walked inside the forest for a few minutes, the sunlight that penetrated the forest gave of a very feint glow allowing me to see the rough shapes of the trees . And then I saw something, something lurking in the darkness. I decided to get a little closer to this shadow in the forest. And then I saw it, it was incomprehensible, my brain couldn’t describe what I was looking at.I-it was something else, it had eyes of black, green, or even purple coming out of its wolf/worm like body shape. Hairs were coming out of its body and when receding into the body as soon as they came out. The hairs, oh the hairs they emanated a glow that made my brain twist and turn. I wanted to look away but it was just so, I can't describe the feelings that I felt. Then that thing began to contort into itself and and yelled out a screech. It threw up into the air like a stalk and threw down itselph into the ground. It’s shape bagan to form and unform without any regard to the laws of science. It shined like a great star, the lights blinded my eyes with its marvellous glory.
It was all so marvelous.
