The Unicorn

The Average unicorn, or Pegasus Inselfus, is a creature typically found in the region of Sparengared in the Land of Krin. Its appearance is typically that of a an average horse.¹ The only difference between the two being the unicorns kerasin,² most commonly referred to as its horn.

turned the corner to see before me a tall, old man, I was startled at first, apologizing for bumping into him, a common occurrence in these cramped halls, but something about him memorized me. after a brief moment, he spoke up. His voice was as frail as he looked, I'm amazed he can even walk. he sounded like a leaf being blown in the wind, slowly scraping against the ground. it was oddly soothing. he spoke very carefully.

"apologies young man, I was trying to find a specific book and wasn't paying attention to where I was going."

"no its my fault, I should have gotten out of the way"

I felt incredibly awkward around him, I don't know why. it's like I know him on a personal level but don't remember who he is. he spoke again, this time with some confidence.

"I dont think I've seen you here before, do you frequent this library?"

"only a few times," I responded

his demeanor shifted immediately, going from one of insecurity to that of hopefulness and excitement.

"well i would love to show you around
