The origin of belief

The origin of belief, unknown and yet existing. What's the basis for believing? Why do people believe in anything? How does a bases of belief incorporate in the mental limitation of the human mind? The aspects that results in one's belief are numbered. It could be parental influence, cultural infuence, literally anything that exists can influence you to a form of belief. We all believe something, right? I believe I will be able to walk when I wake up in the morning. Unlike a human who has had amputation, they belief they will wake up the next morning and not be able to wake. With influence it's seeing and believing, or taking in what you hear. Your environment forms your basis for belief. Is it possible to have no belief in anything with the sign of existence existing? This also brings in religion.

Religion:
n. The belief in and reverence for a supernatural power or powers, regarded as creating and governing the universe.
n. A particular variety of such belief, especially when organized into a system of doctrine and practice.

Trust me the definition was needed. This definition of religion or what I would define it "the basis of accepting certian existence through the mentality of a thirst for external support" gives the idea of super natural powers. Well this also brings in what you believe is supernatural. As you can tell yhsi rabbit whole could continue trailing on for almost ever. So what is the seed? Honestly would anybody know? What is the first belief to ever come to be for so many other opinions to branch off?
